ECCC's Fulton, Blackwell receive East Central Community College sophomores Anna Fulton and Kim· berly Blackwell, both of Louisville, were recently named to the 2010 All-Mississippi Academic Team, an annual program honoring scholarly achievements and leadership accomplishment of students enrolled in the state' two year col- leges. The pecial program is coordinat· ed byThe Clarion-Ledger, Phi Theta -.u_.___. a Coca-Cola Scholar is based on scores earned in theAll-USAAcade– mic Team competition, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Founda· tion and administered by the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Recognition of this award will be made in theApril19 issue of U AToday. Fulton, a President's Ust scholar with a perfect 4.0 grade point aver– .___.~---- age, chose biological sciences as her program of study. Her career goal is to become a radiologist. Fulton Blackwell
Kappa International Honor Society, MississippiAssociation of Communi· ty and Junior Colleges and the State Board for Community and Junior Colleges. The 55 honorees were recognized March 25, 2010,at the State Capitol by the Missi ippi Legislature and guests of honor at a luncheon held at the jackson Marriott.State Senator Terry C. Burton of Newton served as master of ceremonies. Fulton is among 15 students statewide chosen on the All-Missis– sippi First Team and will receive a $1 ,000 scholarship to continue her education. She also serves as co-captain of the Cen– tralettes, the dance line for theWall 0 ' Sound Marching Band. In addition, she was chosen a sophomore homecoming maid, freshman class favorite, beauty and selected for Who'sWho Among Stu· dents inAmerican Junior Colleges. Her community involvement includes participation in Phi Theta
