Wooten's efforts highlighted by MaxPreps.com Edinburg senior pitcher Mitchell Wooten was recently selected as the "Natioaal Performer" by MaxPreps.com, the premiere site for high school sports and sta– tistics nationwide. The East Central signee was chosen for the honor following a two-game stretch on the mound during which he struck out 20 Carthage Tigers and 21 Sebastopol Bobcats. In addition. Wooten has also been selected to compete in the Dia– mond Crossroadij All – Star Game this sum– mer.
