ECCC finishes fifth
Golfers representing East Central Community College in Decatur finished fifth in a 36-hole event held March 8-9,2009, at Brookhaven Country Club and the Wolf Hollow course at Copiah-Uncoln Commu– nity College in Wesson. The Warrior linksters had rounds of 306 and 301 for a 607 total in the season's third MACJC (Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Col– leges) event, won by Mis– sissippi Gulf Coast golfers who shot 578 (290-288), 10 over par. TrentTravis of Carthage led East Central with rounds of 75 and 73 for a 148 total, six over par. Other top finishers were Griffin Burke of Philadel– phia 151 (76-75); Matthew Bochan of Franklin, Tenn., 153 (77-76); and Luke Brown of Carthage, 155 (78-77). Other Warrior golfers
and their respective scores included Neal Pettigrew of Philadelphia, 163 (82-81); Cole Harris of Decatur, 169 (87-82); Jordan Smith o~ _ Union, 170 (85-85); Darnel Moody of Carthage, 176 (93-83); and Josh More– head of Pearl, 188 (92-96).
