eliminate Warriors from staff reports
East Central Community Col– lege saw its playoff aspirations come to a screaming halt Thursday night as itfell42-35 to Co-Lin in a tightly contested MACJC South Division showdown at Stone Stadium inWesson. Trailing 21-14 at the start of the second half, East Central (2-6) got Blake Matherne hooked up with Zack Pendleton 42 for a 24-yard touchdown pass. The Wolves (7-1) answered on running back Montrell Connor's 6-yard scoring run but the PAT failed. TheWarriors took advantage, 35 marching back things rolling as it tied things up early in the third quarter when early in the fourth via a 4-yard touchdown run from Union product Rod Hawkins. that lead would be short lived when Connor reached pay dirt from 2 yards outt. .
