ECCC hosts singing National recording artist Rev.Andrew Cheairs and The Songbirds of Grand junction, Tenn., and 2009 SteUerAward winner HarveyWatkins,jr. and The Canton Spirituals of Canton, Miss., headline an evening of gospel singing scheduled Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at East Central Community College in Decatur. Also performing will be The junior Angels of Newton, The Kings of joy of Philadelphia, The HeavenlyWonders of jackson,The Gospel Angels ofMontrose,Pwpose ofByram, Rev.Louis johnson andThe New Gospel Deliverers of Meridian and John T. lewis andThe New Gospel Keystones of Jackson. ECCC to host district choral festival The East Central Community College Division of Fme Arts will host its annual High School Choral Festival Thursday, Oct. 22, on the Decatur campus.High school choirs from throughout the district, which includes Leake, Neshoba Newton, Scott andWmston counties,will be in attendance andwill present a mass choir performance at 1:30 p.m. in HuffAuditorium. Selections for the program will include "The WordWas God,"by Powell,"Kyrie"byGabriella and "Wade in theWater"by Hogan.Parents are invited to attend and there is no charge for admission.
