Holdlness Receives Phillips Scholarship at ECCC Samantha Holdiness (third from left) is the 2009 recipient of The Charles and Bonnie Saxon Phillips Scholarship presented during the AT&T Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon held July 16 at East Central Community College in Decatur. Holdlness is a graduate of Nanlh Waiya High School. The scholarship was endowed In 2005 by Charles Phillips, ECCC Class of 1938, and his wife, Bonnie Saxon Phillips. More than 90 scholarships totaling approxjmately $70,000 were awarded at the annu– al event, which recognizes donors and recipients of various scholarships.
