Juco Softball ECCC ladies vie for state title from school reports Ea~t Central Community College's fast-pitch softball team wrapped up another successful regular season with a doubleheader sweep of Northeast Missi~sippi Community Co llege Monday afternoon on the Decatur campus. The Lady Diamond Warriors are now fol·u~t·d on the upcoming MACJC State Softball Championship, which begins today at the Clinton High School softball field. I he top two teams in the MACJC 'orth, Central and South divisions qualify for the double-elimination event, hosted lhis year by the Central Division winner, Hinds Community College. Ea~t Central, which finished season al·tion with a 24-14 overall record and place{] st-cond in the lVfACJC Central Division with a 12-4 mark under fifth– Yl'ar head coach Scott Hill, begins tour– nanwnt compl'tition against ltawamba Communtty College at 1 p.m. today. Also participating are Copiah-Lin– coln, Gulf Coast and Northeast Missis– sippi. Competition concludes with the l'IHunpion~hip game scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday.
