At the 2008 Land Bank South Annual Stockholder's Meeting. Ben Elliott, Vice President of Operations. advised that the awarding of scholarshiPS would be an an going program as a result of thE} board's pl~e to rew~ outstand– ing stud,.,nts and commit·
ment to support them in their educational pur– suits. The association is a part of the nationwide Farm Credit System and pro– vides rural real estate, cotmtry home and agribusiness financing in .50 counties in south ~1is sissippi. Headquartered in Flowood, Land Bank South has branch offices in Brookhaven. Flowood, Greenville, Greenwood, Hattiesburg, Lucedale, Newton. Poplarville and Magee.
FLCA has awarded Jesse Luke of Chunky an aca– demic scholarship for 2008. He is the son of Mike and Christi Luke and -:p-aduated from Newton ;ounty lligh School.
