ECCC Welcomes New Phi Theta Kappa Members Eighty-seven East Central Community College were recently tapped for membership into Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the in– ternatiom\1honor society for two-year colleges, during the spring induction ceremony held on the Decatur cam- pus. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to promote scholarship, de– velop character and cultivate fellow– ship among academically superior students. Memben.hip is by invita– tion only and reqUires a minimum 3.5 grade point average earned as a full– time student. Joining the prestigious or– ganization from the Spirit ofMorton reading area are: Scott County : Diane Berthelette, Jessica Brown, Britanny Cushman, Stacey Rasco, Caitlin Slay and Tyler Walters, all of Forest; and Stacee McCurdy, Morton; ECCC instructors Debbie Hammons and Bmce Guraedy serve as Theta Xi advisers.
