EC sw~ps Jones; girls lose first game East Central Communi– ty College's Lady War– riors rallied from a 19- point deficit to defeat Jones County's women 87- 83 and the Warriors held on for 73-67 win aS\ both squads successfully began MACJC South Division action Monday night in Ellisville. Rashima Jenkins, a product of Airline High School in Bossier City, La., poured in 23 points and Tanesha Brown of Jackson Provine added 22 in the comeback victory for the nationally ranked East Central women, who improved to 10-1 under third-year head coach Bill Smith. The Lady Warriors were ranked lOth in the latest NJCAA poll, prior to suffering their first loss of the season on January 3- a 75-57 setback at Itawamba. Also scoring for EC were Mystee Dale of Choctaw Central anc;l Tawayatha Evans of ·New– ton, 12 each; Alisa Mat– lock of Carthage, six; Jor– dan Patterson of Oak Hill Academy, four; Chotsani Henderson of Newton and Alisha McAfee of North– west Rankin, three each; and Allison Phillips of Leake Academy, two.
