Receives Ward Scholarship Jason Hancock (center), a 2008 graduate of Newton County High School, is the recipient of the Charles E. Ward Memorial Scholarship at East Central Community College. The scholarship was established in 2003 by Mr. Ward's widow, Gail Ward (left), and their three sons, Roger, Mike and David Ward. Representing the donors are Charles' sisters, Gloria Joiner (left) and Nancy Quinn.
