Walters, Gaines Named Mr., Miss East Central

Tyler Walters, a graduate offorest High School, and Julie Gaines, a graduate of Neshoba Central High School, were recently selected Mr. and Miss East Central Community College following elections held on the Decatur campus. Walters, a secondary education major, is the son of Roger and Lisa Walters of Forest. He is a member ofthe Warrior tennis teamand is actively involved in intramural sports. He was a member ofthe Warrior football team his freshman year. A Dean's List scholar, Walters is a member ofPhi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of the two-year college. He has also earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in scouting. Gaines, a physical therapy major, is the daughter ofKeith and llita Gaines ofPhiladelphia. She serves as secretary of the Student Body Association and is a member of the Warrior Corps, Baptist Student Union, Sigma Sigma Mu Tau and The Tom Tom student newspaper staff. She also served as president of her freshman class. In addition, she is a member of the Lady Warrior tennis ream and participates in intramural sports. A President's List Scholar she is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and
