The tal- ented shortstop led lhe Lady Di– amond Warriors in 2008 with a .387 batting average. She belted three home runs, three triple() and 15 doubles and collected 45 RB Is. She was selected the team's most valuable player and received a team captain award. Brass received All-Region 23 and first teamAll-Stale and All– Division honors following the 2007 season, when East Central fmished 29-22 and captured a third-straight MACJC Central Division title. Brass is one of only two Mississippi softball players to receive All-American honors. Brass is a former standout at Philadelphia High School.
