By Marty Stamper Appeal Sports Ed1tor The East Central Comm– unity College Lady Warriors were unable to come away with a win in the 2008 NJCAA Women's Basketball Championship last week as they dropped both of their games in Salina, Kan. EC lost 74-4R to South– eastem Illinois College in its tournament opener, then was eliminated with an 89-75 loss to Shelton State (Ala.) Community College in its second outing. The Lady Warriors were clearly m trouble as the two games wore on as Southeastern and Shelton combined for a 56-6 scoring advantage from their subs. It was more a case of the level of competition the Lady Warriors were up against than them playing poorly either game. "The first half against Southeastern was probably the best half we played all year:· EC coach 8•11 Sm1th said "They made some adjustments at halftime and we weren't able to score as easily in the second half.
