honors group Nine Leake Cou n t y stu– dents were among approxi– mately 70 East Central Com– munity College students tapped for membership into Theta Xi Chapter of Ph1 Theta Kappa during the spring induction ceremony on the Decatur campus. Membership in the interna– tional honor societ y for two– year colleges is by in~i~ation only and requires a mtmmum 3.5 grade point average. New members and their hometowns include: Justin Taylor Harrell, Edinburg; Lucy Diane Burns, Cristen Shal ane J ones, Bar – bara Jean Pitts, Kath erine Ehzabeth Taylor and Rebecca Carol Wilbanks, all of Carthage; Cheryl Lynn Dowell and Courtney Nicole Elkins, both of Lena; and Matth ew Brent Wilkerson, Walnut Grove.
