ECCC announces new Phi Theta Kappa members
Thirty East Central Community College students v.ere \ recentl) inducted intoTheta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, t.he international honor c;ociety for two-year colleges. Membership in t.he pre:.tigious organization is by invitation only. and requires a 35 grade point average earned as a full-time student at the time of selection. lnductees must also have an overall 3.5 GPA. New Phi Theta Kappa members on the Decatur campus include Melissa Adkins, Shannon Harrison and Kenneth Hudson, all of Union; Matthew Anthony, Katrina Patie and Alisha Smith, all M Philadelphia; Lauren Ashley, Amneris Avalos. Tiffany Carpenter. Candice Ezell,
Timothy Phillipson and Annie McDonald Strohm, all of Morton; Brent Barton, Krista Phillips, Ryan Reeves and Kimberly Williams, aU of Forest; Trenton Cockrell, Krystin Ha11 and Missy Williamson, all of Louisville; Noah Cook and Rodney Parker, Jr., bot.h of Hickory; Caitlin _ Harper, Sarah Henry, Whitney Knight, Andrew Marshall and Lindsey Stevens, all of Decatur; Diana Hickma!'l, Choctaw; Terri Jones, Paulding; Marcus Lee, Ludlow; and Jennifer Sistrunk, Carthage. ECCC faculty members Debbie Hammons and Bruce Guraedy serve as club sponsors.
