The Lady DiamondWar– riors - who entered the four-day tournament as Central Divbion champi– ons - lost a 6-5 heart· breaker to Pearl River to begin tow·nament action, defeated Northwest 9-3 and fell 8-6 to Hinds Com– munity College. conclud– ing play on Sattu·day. In the Pearl RiYer game, EC rallied from a 4-1 deficit by scormg four runs in the seventh for a 5- 4 lead but the Lady Wild– cats responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame to take the win.
