ECCC Wins Pair Over Northeast

EC scored one run in the first inning, one in the second, two in the fifth and two in the sixth. Northeast tallied one run in the flrst inning, two in the fifth and one in the seventh. Jesus Aleman, was the win– ning pitcher for EC. He allowed three runs on six hits through four and one-third innings. He also fanned two batters and walked a pair. Additional hitters besides Hendrix in the nightcap were Robinson, two singles; and Washington , Grufin, Jonesand Chris Parkman of Pulaski, sin– gles each.

DECATUR- East Central Community College's baseball team improved to 17-18 follow– ing a doubleheader sweep of Northeast Mississippi Community College Friday at Booneville. Jordan Robinson of Union led EC sluggers with a double and single in posting a 6-4 victory in the opener, and Terrell Hendrix doubled and added two singles in a 5-2 decision to complete the sweep. Other hitters in the first con– test were Hendrix and Adam Griffin, doubles each; and George Washington, Warren Bowling. Brian Jones, Jacob Thames. Josh Lafferty and Colby Hawthorne, singles each.
