ECCC Warriors Take 'W' DECATUR-A 10-8 decision over visiting East Mississippi Community College last week began MACJC CentriJ.]. Division competition for the East Central Community College baseball squad, who followed the victory with 2·0 loss in the nightcap. The Diamond Warriors jumped out to a 9-llead in the opener before East Mississippi rallied for three runs in the sixth inning and four runs in the seventh. EC was led at the plate by George Washington, who dou– bled, singled and had one RBI. Singles each were recorded by Jacob Casey, Ter rell Hendrix, Warren Bowling, J acob Thames, and Chr is Parkman of Pulaski. Collecting RBis, in addition to Washington, were Thames (4), Chad Gosselin (2); Bowling, Parkman, Brian Jones and Jordan Robinson. Runs were scored by Washington (4). Hendrix (2), Casey, Bowling, Gosselin and Robinson. Right-hander Jesus Aleman got the win for EC, allowing four r uns on five hits through 5 2/3 innings. He also fanned seven batters. The Diamond Warriors dropped a doubleheader to home standing Meridian Community College on Saturday; East Central fellS.! in the open– er and 6-4 in the second contest and saw its record fall to 12·16 ' overall and 1·3 in division play under ftrst-year head coach Neal Holliman. Right-hander Joe Patterson of Morton took for the loss for EC a~ he allowed two runs on three' hits through four innings of work. He also fanned one batter and walked two. Ecce travels to Hinds c?~unity College today for a diVISion match-up. -------
