Lori Luke of Newton has joined the Associate Degree Nursing facult)' at East Central Community College in Decatur. Luke served the previous the Hars as one of the College's practical nursin~ instructors. She was recog– nized as ECCC's,Career and Technolog)' Instructor of the Year in 2005. She is a former registered nurse at Lacke) Memorial Hospital in l'orest and Rile)' Hospital in \leridian. Sht also pre\ ious– lv served as school nurse for ~en ton Public Schools. She has been imolved in variouo, health-related organizations including S \DD (Students Against OE.'structive Decisions), the Mississippi Diabetes .As~ociation and the Mississippi School urse \ssociat1on. She is a mem– ber of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Societ) of Nursing. A Newton High School graduate. Luke holds

an associate's degree from ECCC, a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of out hern Mississippi and a master's degree in nursing from Alcorn State University. She is married to Keith Luke. The) have t\\O daugh– ters. Morgan and Maggie.
