Various honors were presented to the above members of the East Central Community College women's basketball team at the 2005 Spring Sports Awards Banquet held in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria on the Decatur campus. Seated from left are Kristin Chaney of Newton County, most valuable player, co-team captain, Warrior Award co-recipient, second team All-American, first team All-Region 23 and All-State, All Region 23 Tournament Team and All-Star; Shannon Lloyd of West Lauderdale, best rebounder; and India Backstrom of Neshoba Central , Warrior Award co-recipient and All-Region 23 Tournament Team. Standing from left are Roxana Rogers of Lake, most 1mproved; Kim Cox of Lake, best defender, co-team captain award and second team All-State; and Tierra Young of South Leake, Newcomer of the Year. Not pictured is Kotreece Bender of Newton, best offensive player and co-team captain award. The awards were presented by Lady Warrior head coach Brad Hodge. The ECCC women were Region 23 Tournament runners-up and finished with a 20-10 record.
