EAST CENTRAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE RECEIVES THOMAS EC SCHOLARS SCHOLARSHIP: Newton County High School graduate Maggie McDill {left) is the 2005 realpient of the James and Luv1e Thomas EC Scholars Scnolarship at East Central Community College in Decatur. Established by the College in 1999, individuals, businesses or groups can supply these scholarships, pre– sented to students who are in the top 1 0 percent of their class. Representing the family are Carol Thomas Barnes {right) of Shreveport, La., and Luvie Thomas (seated) of Starkville. The award was presented during the College's annual Bell South Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon held Thursday, May 26, in Mabry Memorial Cafetena.
