Meridian Community College' soccer Learns picked up wins in the second part of back-to-back division
matches on consecutive days on Tuesday. MCC's soccer teams restarted the 2005 season with road con– tests on Monday. The Lady Eagles (3-0, 2-0
South Division) defeated the East Central Community College Lady Warriors 7-0 at MCC, and the Eagles (3-0 2-0 South) topped the East Central Community College War– riors 3-0. The women's team defeated Copiah– Lincoln 'Community College 6-0 on Monday, and the men's squad scored a 5-0 victory over Co-Lin. "Every thing counts now," said MCC soccer coach Alex George. "It is asking a lot of your kids to play two conference games in a row, but under the circumstances, il is what we have to do. I'm very proud of our kids for responding well." ECCC's teams were playing for the first time since Hurricane Katrina swept through the state and halted the junior college soccer season until Monday.
