L.......><:=----' qualified for the national tourna– ment after being named to the Region 23 Division ill squad fol– lowing competition in the Region 23/MACJC State Championship held at Kirkwood National Golf Club in Holly Springs in late April. At Chautauqua, Ellis opened with an 83 and got better each round. His second round was an 80, followed by a 78 and a 77 for a 72-hole total of 318. Brent Davis of Montgomery College took first place with an even-par 288. Davis shot 72-72- 73-71. which was held June 6-10 at the Chamau– qua Golf Course in Chautauqua. N.Y.
