Ellis Makes All– Region; Qualifies for Nationals

Arick Ellis of Fores t, a freshman member ofthe East Central Community College golf team, was named to the Division Ill All-Region 23 Team following competition at the MACJC State Championship held April 26-27 at Kirkwood National in Holly Springs. The Leake Academy product also qualified for the Division Ill NJCAA Tournament scheduled in early June at the Chautauqua (New York) Golf Club. Ellis carded a 78 in first– round action and posted a 90 the fmal day for a 168 total. Sophomore Jon Bergin, also of Forest, shot 169 (81- 88) and missed qualifying for ationals and All-Region by one ::.troke. rim Coats 'cn·e::. as golf team coach
