ECCC Lady Diamond Warriors sweep Jones • East Central Community Col– lege's Lady Diamond Warriors improved to 4-2 under first-year head coach Scott Hill by takinga pair of contests from Jones County Junior College Thursday on the Decatur campus. East Central won the first game 11-3 and captured the nightcap 4-3 in the first ECCC softball contest to be played under the lights. Asix-run rally in the top of the seventh helped secure the first win for the Lady Warriors. Marley Smith of Union was credited with the victory. Usa Wolf of Morton got the win in game two after shutting down the Lady Bobcats who managed just one run in the seventh after ttailing 4-2 in the final stanza. East Central will be on the road this week, traveling to Southwest Mississippi Communi– ty College in Summit Tuesday.
