EC notches 2 wins on softball diamond The East Central Commu–
Lisa Wolf of Morton earned the win on the mound in the second game of the day after shutting down the Lady Bob– cats. Wolf carried a 4-2 edge into the fourth and surrendered only one run in the final inning. East Central will be on the road this week, traveling to Southwest Mississippi Com– munity College in Summit on Tuesday, March 9, and to Pearl River Community College on Friday, March 12. No games are scheduled during the spring break holi– days, March 25-29.
nity College Lady Diamond Warriors improved to 4-2 under first-year head coach Scott Hill by taking a pair of contests from Jones County Junior College Thursday in Decatur. ECCC won the first game of the day 11-3 and captured the nightcap 4-3 in the first soft– ball contest to be played under lights at the Decatur dampus. A six-run rally in the top of the seventh helped secure the first win for the Lady Warriors. Marley Smith of Union was credited with the pitching win for the Lady Warriors.
