Alumnus of the Year side me. Dr. Hollingsworth may have even given me a bit of direction in my pur– suit of a career:· ··or. Hollingsworth is by far the best ma th teacher I've ever had. His most notable skill. r think. is that ofstimu– la!ingand involving students in the class. Also. his em– phasis on learning for its own sake rather than for grades is quite admirable in my opinion... \\'hen he re– tired from teachmg, the University of Georgia es– tablished the J. G. EC. Dr. Hollingsworth re– plied : "Wow! EC was blessed with wonderful people; wonderful class– mates; and a wonderful, helpful and caring but tough faculty!" He further stated: "East Central served me extremely well. It was al– most as if someone saw me coming and tailored the school specifically to meet my needs. I am grateful for the education received at ECJC.'" After receiving his associate's degree at East Central, Hollingsworth con– tinued
