"Bob's great respect and admira– tion for :Mr. Usry never changed through the years. Tommy Anthony was another one of his instructors for whom Bob had great respect. These men helped to shape his life. Bob felt honored when after graduation he was asked to serve on the Advisory Board of the Scott County Vo-Tech Center and always enjoyed attend– ing meetings with this Board," his parents stated. Bob's wife is the former Dannette G. Burkes. Their daugh– ter, Kimberly, attends the U ruversity of Mississippi. Candidates for The Bob Wilkerson :\lemorial Vo-Tech Scholarship must meet the follow– mg criteria: (1) Have a C or C+ average on all lugh school classes; (2) Reside in Scott County (pref– erence will be given to students who graduate from Forest High School); (3) Enroll full-time as a fresh– man the semester after graduating from high school and be committed to earning a vocational-technical degree or vocational-technical cer– tificate from ECCC; (4) Pursue a career in mechan– ics; and

Community in Scott County has been endowed at East Central Community Coller;e in Decatur. Established by his parents, Judge Robert G. and Patsy J. Wilkerson of Lake, the scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing vocational-tech– nical studies at ECCC. Bob Wilkerson was 41 years old when he lost lus life in an ATV accident on December 22. 2002. He was a cattle farmer and 17-year employee at Puckett Machinery in ~lendian where he served as a shop foreman. The late Bob Wilkerson of the Norris Community 1n Scott County, in whose memory a scholarship has been estab– lished at East Central Community College by his parents, Judge Robert G. and Patsy J. Wilkerson of Lake. participated in several activities, including weightlifting and foot– ball He was a (our-year letterman on the Bearcat 8quad. His parents said his favorite interest in high school was attending classes at the Forest-Scott County Vocational– Technical Center. He received the agricult.ure award his senior year. His parents said his instructor, DaVJd Joe Usry, was a "huge" influence in his life.
