ECCC ladies -win three-of-four vs~ Co- Lin

Shelly Ferguson and Kristin Chaney had a double apiece to lead ECCC, which scored three times in the sixth inning to overcome a 3-2 deficit. In the opener, Co-Lin got four runs in the first inning and two each in the second and third to make a loser of Lauren Banen. The Lady Warriors managed just three hits. • East Central 7-2, Copiall-Lin– coln 5-1: Two days;later at ECCC, the Lady Warriors swept Co-Lin. In the opener, EC scored at least one run in every inning and won despite being out-hit 11-8. ECCC opened the event with a 12- 3 win over Dyersburg State, then held off Southwest Tennessee for an 11-6 victory. Against Dyersburg, Barrett improved to 3-4 with the win and Obreisha Davis collected three sin– gles. Smith and Sparnecht both had a pair of hits. while Ferguson, Suzanne Chancy and Krissi Harris ali had dou– bles. ECCC then jumped out to an I I -I lead over Southwest Tennessee and

The Lady Warriors split a makeup doubleheader at Co-Lin last Monday, winning 5-3 in the second contest and handing the Lady Wolves their first loss of the season after nine straight wins - including an 8-0 victory in Game 1 of the twinbill. In a rematch at Decatur on Wednesday, homestanding East Cen– tral swept Co-Lin, dropping the Lady Wolves 7-5 and 2-1. EC went on to split four contests in Booneville over the weekend, and the Lady Warriors entered this week with a record of 10- 8. ECCC will go to Mississippi Della today, then host Holmes Friday in a Central Division doubleheader. Tues-
