Preparing for Ac:ademic Competition - These members of the East Central Community Col– lege's Scholars Bowl 'ream are busilJ preparing for upcoming academic competitions scheduled '' ith other students representing the state's community and junior colleges. I<'irst on the agenda is the South .\tississippi Scholars Bowl, which will be held January 24 at Jones Count) Junior College in Ellis\ille. The state contest- officially known as the Ken Wooten Scholars Bowl- is scheduled February 21-22 at the University of Mississippi. Wooten, a Leake County native, is an ECCC alumnus who helped organized the statewide competition while he was an administrator at Ole Miss.
