Dupree enrolls at ECCC From combi11ed reports Fonner Philadelphia High School running back Marquez Dupree has enrolled at East Central Community College in Decatur. Dupree, who ran for more than 1,300 yards and 17 touch– downs as a senior for the Tor– nadoes in 2000, signed with the University ofAlabama and red– shifted with the Crimson Tide during the 2001 season. He was part of a loaded Tide backfield and was switched to fullback during the 2002 spring work– outs: but left the Alabama pro– gram last August. There was little explanation of why the 6-foot, 22Q-pound Dupree quit the Crimson Tide team, and at the time, then– head coach Dennis Franchione simply released a statement saying Dupree had quit the ream for personal reasons.
