Rogers was presented the George 0 . Bierkoe Distinguished Member Award and the Distinguished Regional Officer Award during the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention. Rogers is the recipient of various scholarships and was selected a fresh– man class favorite. During the spring musical her freshman year she received the award for Best Play Spirit. She was selected to Who's Who Among Students in American Community/Junior Colleges and was recognized as a President's List schol– ar. Those nominating her wrote, "Lana is an o\Jtstanding student who is most deserving of this honor. She bas maintained excellent grades pa.~~!.:::=.; t::: =~ra~ ~_,­ polS aCU\'lties. She has a \Joondertul attitude and goes beyond what is asked of her in her academic and extra-curricular activities." She is the daughter of Dale and Penny Rogers of Walnut Grove and is a graduate of Leake Academy. Photographs of these students will hang in the Hall of Fame collection in the lobby of Huff Auditorium. ADDITIONAL AWARD RECIPIENTS In addition to the Hall of Fame honorees, various academic honors were presented as well as a number of awards for extracurricular activi– ties.
