Warriors named second team All-State include running back Titus Ryan and offensive guard Marcel Binion, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and linebacker Stacey Lewis of Neshoba Central. Ryan, who finished second to Williams in rushing, had 570 yards on I 02 carries and scored six touchdowns, an· 81.4-yard average per contest in seven games he appeared as running back. Ryan began the season at wide receiver but was moved to running back when Williams was injured. Lewis·placed fourth in indi– vidual tackles, with 69 solo stops and 28 assists. Team members named hon– orable mention All-State were quar– terback Kevin· Stephens of Troy, Ala.; wide receivers Marcus Hibbler of Louisville, Reggie Rice of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Ronald Smith of Daphne, Ala.;: fullback Wesley Wright of Winston Academy; offen– sive lineman John Williams of
Forest; center LeAndrew McDonald of Philadelphia; offensive tackle Tyrone Barrett of Belle Glade, Fla.; cornerback Jarvis Lymon of Foley, Ala.; free safety Adrian Eiland of Louisville; cornerback Justin Smith of Newton County; strong safety John Hope of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; line– backer Josh Viverette of Lake; and defensive lineman Jed Wright of Newton. Eight Warriors will repre– sent EC in the annual MACJC All– Star Game, scheduled at I p.m. Saturday, December 14 at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville. All-Stars are offensive linemen DeM~rcus .Granger, Marcel Binion and Tyrone B an·ett; running back Ramon Williams; defensive linemen Ken Triplett and Arrion Triplett; linebacker Travares Osley; and defensive back Pete McBride. Warrior head football coach Terry Underwood and his staff were selected to coach the South squad. Assistant coaches are Tim Coats,
Steve Cheatham, Fred Lyons, Tommy Clopton and DeMarcus Holmes. East Central, which fin– ished 3-6 overall and placed thitd in the South with a 3-3 mark, had the state's second-best rushing offenst• with a I 94.8-yard average perc on– test. State champion Holmes won the rushing htle. averaging 220.4 yards. The Warriors were fourth in total offense with a 317. J– yard average.
