Southwest would later drive into scoring territory and had a chance to extend its seven-point advantage, but a 43-yard field goal by Nic Patrick of Mendenhall hit the crossbar with 2:58 remaining East Central took over on its 26, but lost possession on the first play when Warner was intercepted by Southwest linebacker Damien Huren of Amite, La.. and the Bear~ ran out the clock to preserve thetr first divbion win. Sophomore running back Ramon Williams of Daphne, Ala, was again the Warrior workhorse, as he rushed 21 umes for 112 yards.
