JUCO FOOTBALL Hunter, 19, was the unanimous choice for The Neshoba Democrat's Offensive Player of the Year. Hunter (5-10, 160) accounted for I,447 total yards and helped lead the Tornadoes to a 7-5 record and a playoff trip in their first season under the 3A classification. Hunter rushed for 1,230 yards on 125 cm·ries, a 9.85- yard-per-carry average. He scored 13 rushing touchdowns, and caught four passes for 46 yards and a touchdown over the course of the season. ' He showed he could pass the ball as well, completing 2- of-3 passes for 18 yards and a touchdown to junior quarter– back Tyler Threadgill. But the Warriors will also take a look at Hunter on the defensive side of the ball. ln fact, he said he's been work– ing out as a defensive back.
