East Cent. signs pair of Tigers On Wednesday, Feb. 6, East =---':-:-~

Central Community College inked 15 football players, including a pair of standouts from Carthage High School. Chris Hamm and Raymond Youngblood signed letters-of– intent with the ECCC Warriors on Nat ion al Signing Day. Youngblood r ecorded his second consecutive 1,000-yard rushing season in 2001 wit h 1,035 yards on 209 attempts. He also added 10 rushing touchdowns and 23 receptions for 304 yards and recorded 23 tackles on defense. Youngblood was a t hree– year starter at h alfback for the Carthage Tiger s, who reached the playoffs for the first time in 10 years during Youngblood's senior season . Hamm anchored the Tigers offen sive line and was the team's leading tackler with 61. Both Youngblood and Hamm were All-State Class 3A selections and all Division 5-3A players during their senior sea– sons. Both Hamm and Youngblood were also members of Carthage's Class 3A st ate champion track team last year. East Central listed Youngblood as a 6'1", 180, run– ning back/defensive back and Hamm as a 6'2", 280, offensive lineman. E ast Central also signed Clevester :\1cKee of Scott Central, who missed most of his senior season due to a knee injury. Crowe was a two-year starter at LA on both th e offen– sive and defensive line and played two years at East Central, before moving on to Mississippi College.
