East Cent. women's tennis rises to 4-0
The East Central Commu– nity College Lady Warrior ten– nis team posted wins at South– west and Hinds last week, and remained undefeated. East Central, now 4-0, oust– ed t he Lady Bears by a 6-3 margin on March 14, and reg– istered a 7-2 victory over the Lady Eagles the previous day. Lady Warriors who claimed victories in singles against Southwest included April Foley, Bridgett. Stamper, Jes– sica Weeks, Courtney Cooper and Kasey Comans. Weeks and Comans also teamed for a dou– bles win.
The Warrior s fell to South– west 7-2 and dropped to 1-3 on the season. Tim Cager won in singles and in doubles with partner Josh McNeil. Agai n st Hinds, Foley, Weeks, Hayley Chance and Knsti French won in singles. In doubles, Chance and Foley; Weeks and Comans; and Cooper and French collected wins. The Warriors again dropped a 7-2 decision against Hinds. Cager again won his singles match and teamed this time with Thomas Ford for a dou– bles win.
