He at– tended East Central Community College and graduated from Mississippi College with a Bach~lor of Science Degree in Physical Education with a mi– nor in Biology. He taugh t and coached for seven years while living in Jackson. Since moving back to his hometown of Newton, he served as a t~acl1 p ~-c! ~ rl"\adt n•e"' Schoo. I?1s~ ...: : ~ the pas. 6 years. Smce recel\•mg his Mas– ter's Degree in Education Lead– ership in 1998, he has been a part of the professional staff of Newton City Schools serving as the Director of Transp ortation, Athletics and Maintenance. He has served inteh Missis– sippi National Guard for 31 years. Lindsley holds the r ank of Colonel and is assigned to HQ's STARC in Jackson. Mr. Lindsley is married to the former Polly Hand, also of Newton, and they have two children, Michael and Shelly. He is an active member of th e First Bap tist Ch urch in New– ton.

Sutphin is a graduate of Wood College, Mississippi S ta le University, where he received his bachelor's and master's degrees, and the Uni,·ersity of :\.iemphis, where he earned his doctorate. Dr. Sutphm and his wife, Peggy Boyd, have two sons: B1 ent, and tncoming freshman Dr. Sp arkman began her c.. reer in education as an educa– tion school teacher for the Noxubee County School System and later served at Central Academy in Macon. A graduate of Theodore Alabama High School, Dr Sparkman attended Missis– sippi State University \\' her.. she received a baChelor 's de – gree in elementary educario~ and earned master's and dO' · toral degrees in counselor ed\. · cation.
