"The men's basketball pro– gram h as just completed a tough six week conditioning program," Bowen said. "The players were very energetic and enthusiastic a nd did a great job. Our regular practice began on Oct. 1 and the play– er s have done everything the staff has asked, "Our recruiting goal this past year was to get bigger and deeper and we accomplished these goals. The Ladv Warrio r s of ECCC had a·22-5 record last basketball season. That mark could be matched or bettered by this year·s team despite the loss of all five starters. "All five starters are gone from last year·s squad and we have 11 fres hmen on thi s year's squad:· Lady Warriors coach Samm) Pace said. "Despite the mexperience, the ladies will be fun to watch. They will be very up-tempo with a blend of perimeter scor– ing and inside power to create difficulties defensively for opponents. "However, with youth and inexperience there will be some growing pains through– out the sea:::on which can help us when tournament time rolls around in February...
