astCentral begins softball season a .500 batting average and was named All-American, All-Region and All-State. She was the top vote– getter on last year' s All-Region squad. Also expected to have anoth– er qutstanding season is Ragan Mitchell of Nanih Waiya. Mitchell, an All-Region and All-State selec– tion, batted .440 and was the only freshman pitcher selected on All– Region 23 squad. Freshman team members include outfielder s Lacey John5on of Carthage, Leanne Stamph?} and Lebreeska Chesney, both of Newton County Academy; Brooke Mamgolf of Louisville and Tonya Moncn('f of Newton; infielder~ Arletha Moncncf of Newton and Allu,on Ba1ley and Bridgette Stamper, both of Newton County; and catcher Mandy lvcy and pitcher Amanda Hams, both of Newton County.

In addition to Mapp and Mitchell, other returnees include infielders Dana Misso of Louisville and Boosie Carter of Noxapater, and outfielder Ginger Moore, also of Noxapater.
