Warriors Ov er GCCC 50 - 12 Playoff Saturday at NWCC

Play-off bound East Ce!'ltral :ommunity College conhnued o showcase a barrage of )ffensive weapons as the Warriors overwhelmed nationally ranked Gulf Coast 50-12 Thursday night. The lopsided victory assured the Warriors a berth in the state play-offs and a rematch with North Division champion Northwest Mississippi Community College in first– round action. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday on the Sena tobia campus. The Rangers (9-1,6-0) gave EC a 53-8 whipping in the season opener at Warrior Stadium. The Warriors, led by second year head coach Terry Underwood, completed regular season action with an 8-2 overall record and a 5-1 mark in South Division play, while the fourteenth-ranked Bulldogs finished 7-3 and 3-3. East Central tied Hinds for the division lead but due to the Warriors 26-6 loss earlier in t the season, the Eagles were crowned south champs.
