EC orientation set July 2

A third orientation session for ·students planning to attend East Cen tral Community College this fall will be held Thursday, July 2, on the Decatur campus, announced Randall E. Lee, dean of stu· dents. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Vickers Fine Arts Center. Lee said the College's orien– tation program is designed to inform students about the aca– demic .process and familiarize them with the College campus. In addition, students will be able to advance register for fall classes and learn of the wide variety of academic, social and personal opportunities avail· able at East Central. 'lb complete an orientation session, students should have the following information on file in the Office ofAdmissions, Records and Research: (1) application for admission; (2) ACT scores (for .academic and technical students only · not applicable to vocational stu– dents); (3) high school tran– script; and (4) college tran– script(s) for transfer students. The only cost to attend ori· entation is $50 which is applied toward fees for the fall term.

(For students who have docu– mented financial aid, the %40 fee is waived.) Students are encouraged to pay all fees before August 10; otherwise they will be required to attend the fmal fall registration on August 14. Parents are also encourage 1 to attend the orientation pro– gram and join students for a complimentary lunch in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria. Additional orientation ses– sions will be held Wednesday, July 15; and Saturday, August 8.
