That year the WildcatS ~'L :.o Mississippi vel;;.a fer :!te .:;a:< tide Ke:!y ?~a:-d o:7e~.:. -e guard and linebacker on t he 1972 team which posted a 9-1 mark. He was selected as· an Outstanding College Athlete of America following the 1972 campaign. Kelly was also a standout athlete at Hattiesburg High School where be earned All-Big Eight honors and was selected permanent team captain. He and his wife, Debbie, have two sons, Shane and Michael. Mangum served the past year at Collins which advanced to first-round action of the South State playoffs. He also taught sociology and psychology.

A graduate of Mount Olive High School, Mangum was All– Conference in football and bas– ketball for three years and was selected Most Athletic in addi– tion to various other honors and activities. His professional activities include his participation at vari– ous coaching clinics and camps t 1 rroughout the South. He and his wife, Kim, have two children, Natalie and Will. The new assistants join returning coach Tim Coats who begins his fourth season on the Warrior staff. Coats will contin– ue to coach defensive backs along with serving in his new role as defensive coordinator. East Central begins the 1998 season ~Y ~rB:vel~ng to North– west MlSSlSSlppl Community College on Sept. 3.
