VICKERS HONORED

Carol Vickers of Decatur was named ABE/GED Teacher of the Year/ Southern Region at the annual Mississippi Association of Adult and Community I:duchtion (MAACE) Conference re– cently held in Vicksburg. Mrs. Vickers is shown receiving the award from MAACE P resident William Ward of Northwest Mississippi Community College. Also pictured are Dr. Olon Ray (left), executive director, State Board of Community and Junior Colleges; and Gene Davis, ECCC Director of Adult and Continuing Education and past- president of MAACE. Mrs. Vickers has served as an Adult Basic Education inst ructor at East Central since 1987. She was previously employed at the College as an English instructor and yearbook sponsor.
