ECCC names classroom building for retiring professor

social science courses in addi– tion to serving as division chairman. He has been the recipient of numerous honors throughout his teaching career. the most recent being hi- selection as the College's Outstanding Humanities Fac– ulty Member for 1997. The Lauderdale County native was chosen Academic Instructor of the Year in 1988 by the ECCC Alumni Associa– tion. and was elected Out– ·tanding Teacher in 1964 by a : vote of the College's student bodv. in addition to his work at ECCC, Dr. Ethridge has taught graduate level courses at the Meridian branch cam– puses of the University of Southern Mississippi and Mb::.issippi State University. He has contributed to various ~cholarly works published by the Mississippi College and University Press and the LSU Press. l Dr. Ethridge- has served as pastor and interim pastor of -everal Mississippi ?aptist congregations. He is married to the for– mer Virginia Marble. and theJ have three daughters.
