ECCC splits with Southwest By Will Price The Meridian Star DECATUR- East Central Community College split a pair of South Division basketball game:. against Southwest Miss is si ppi Community College Thursday night. The division leading Lady Warriors beat the Lady Bears 100-80, while the Warriors lost to the Bears, 78-69. The Lady Warriors improved to 13-5 overall, and 6-1 in division play, while the Warriors fell to 5-13, and 2-5. The Bears are now 9-9 and 3-4, while the Lady Bears dropped to 7-9 and 2-5. ECCC will next see action on Monday, when they travel to Co-Lin for a divisiQn contest. Southwest Mississippi scored firs t and then after Maurice Bowie tied it for the Warriors. the Bears scored the next seven points for a 9-2 lead. ECCC tied it again at 11-11, and the first half then saw eight lead changes, before the game wa, tied once more at 32-32.
