ECCC to break ground for new nursing building
East Cent ral Community College in Decatur will hold groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Associate Degree Nursing/Child Care building on Tuesday at 2 p.m. The building will be located on the old band practice field, across from Scott Hall. The public is invited to attend these ceremonies. • Sebastopol Country Day will be held on Saturday. Activities will include a parade, softball games. arts and crafts, entertainment and barbecue chicken plates. For more information or to reserve a booth space, contact Maria at 625-8806 or Susan at 625-7800. • Decatur native Betsy Harris has signed a seven– month contract playing profes– sional women's basketball with the Breldablik Basketball Club in Iceland. Harris, who was an All– State flayer for Decatur High Schoo and an outstanding player for the University of Alabama, will also coach younger teams for the league. Harris is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Pat Harris of Decatur. • ECCC is planning its annual Homecoming Tennis tournament for Oct. 2-6. All matches will be held
