Donates car to vo-tech General Motors, Cadillac Division, donated a 1994 Cadillac Sedan Deville to the Automotive Mechanics Course at the Philadelphia/Nashoba County Vo-Tech Center. The Automotive Mechanics Instructor, Bill Norcross, shown on the right, accepts the keys from the Cadillac district manager for the Mississippi area, Marvm Boomer. Between Mr. Norcross and Mr. Boomer is Robert Murphy, Director of the Vo-Tech. This donation is a result of a request made by Mr. Norcross at the start of the school year for materials to use in the Auto Mechanics course. This car will enable the students taking the course to see the newer systems as they learn about them. General Motors is constantly donating vehicles or parts of vehicles, to assist in the training· of the students in the Vocational Education setting throughout the United States. These devices are donated to. help educational institutions rather than disposing of them in other ways. The vehicles have usually been involved in floods or damaged in shipment so they cannot be sold as new vehicles. Devices donated are used to increase the level of instruction in the course, which will increase the capability of the students to succeed. Philadelphia/N~hoba County Vo-Tech is a division of East Central Community College and accommodate ~th Neshoba Central and Philadelphia High School "'tudents.
