It was a double-sweet \'ictory for East Central Community College coach Sammy Pace and his women's basketball team whose 66~2 victory over arch-rival Pearl River Thursday night at Mississippi College not only avenged four earlier losses but gave the Lady Warriors their first-ever Region 23 championship! The Lady Warriors will now take their 25~ recoo1 to the National NJCAA Women's Tournament which gets underway the week of March 14 at Tyler (Texas) Junior College. East Central begms com– petition in the double-elimination tournament at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, against either Central Arizona or Utah who are still in– volved in region tournament action.
